The New Year 2010!

Well, only another day and 2009 will come to an end. I know, I know - - just like everyone else, I say "Where did it go?" This past year has been a very good one. For one - I didn't have any surgeries or hospital stays! :) For another, our son, Paul, is doing well for the first time in years! His last checkup and bloodwork came back normal! Praise the Lord! The end of May and first of June we were able to spend time with all our children and grandchildren down in Kentucky and Indiana. It was our first time all together for over a year. Now, 2010 is almost here and I need to stop procrastinating and get to work on my next novel. It will be the third in the "Out of the Whirlwind" series. As of yet, I don't have a title, which is new for me. The other two were titled before written. This time I already have five chapters done and still no title. I'm expecting it will come. "Out of the Snare" official comes out nationwide on February 23, 2010 which I'm very excited about! The other good news is that you don't have to wait until then! You can order either book or both right now AND get them directly from me with a signature. Well, I must go. It's been great chatting with all of you. Have a safe and Happy New Year.

Booksigning!

I'm excited! In June 2008 I did my very first booksigning and it was at Cole's Restaurant near Langston, Michigan where we live. Now, I'm doing another! This time it's for Out of the Snare and it's tomorrow at Cole's from 11 a.m until 1 p.m. I'll keep you posted as to how it goes - good or bad. (Hopefully I sell a few.) :)

Just some thoughts

This morning I hosted a brunch with some ladies from church. We live in the church parsonage and did some recent remodeling and I wanted to show it off. After all, technically, it does belong to them. I didn't get as many as I hoped, but there were eight of us and we had a good time. One friend even asked for my quiche recipe! We'd all brought "white elephant" gifts, so after eating, we moved to our newly enlarged living room, sat in front of the Christmas tree and burning pellet stove to draw names and have some fun with the gifts. It was nice spending time together. Thanks ladies.

What's "Out of the Snare" About?

It's about a woman, Sydney, who gets caught embezzling and is placed in house arrest. One of her partner's is murdered and a silent third partner is the suspect. Detectives are assigned to watch over her in protective custody, but the partner keeps finding her whereabouts and they have to keep moving her. Who is this silent third partner and how do they keep finding where Sydney is?

Sunday Thought

This is my thought for the day. Romans 11:36 -
"For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever. Amen."
Actually, what more is there to say, except for Praise the Lord! I'm so thankful that I'm a believer in Christ Jesus and that I'm part of His family. Amen and amen.

Introducing Pam the blogger

Well, I'm up and running and am excited! This is my first official blog site! Like everyone else out there in cyberland, life gets awfully busy at times. My daughter-in-love helped me get this going almost two weeks ago and I'm just getting to it. I'm happy to be able to make myself available to others, esp if they have comments about my novels or a question about the Lord Jesus Christ. You see, back in Sept of 1975, I prayed to surrender my life to Christ and have served Him ever since. It's been quite the ride! He's taken us to exciting places - Mich., Ind., Texas, Mexico City, Bolivia - S. America. I even almost died from typhoid fever while in Bolivia, but wouldn't trade any of my experiences for a different way of life. I love the Lord Jesus and look forward to some day being with Him for eternity in Glory. I believe in the inerrant word of God and that I'm sealed until the day of redemption. I also believe that nothing takes God by surprise. He knows all and sees all. If He didn't, then He couldn't be God could He? I trust Him and thank Him daily for my beloved family. Well, I guess that's enough for this first time. I look forward to hearing from people as the word gets out about this site.
